With over 13 years of experience in the insurance industry, Derek has built his career around helping people make sense of coverage that can often feel complicated. Having spent much of his time working in business insurance, he brings a strong understanding of the unique needs that companies face — from large operations to small, family-owned businesses. Derek enjoys the opportunity to write all lines of insurance and takes pride in helping others protect what matters most.

One of Derek’s favorite parts of his job is making insurance easy for people who don’t fully understand it. He believes that every client deserves someone who will take the time to explain, educate, and simplify the process. His broad knowledge of many different types of businesses and his ability to learn and adapt to new things make him a trusted advisor to both his clients and coworkers.

A proud West Tennessee native, Derek has deep roots in the community he serves. His motivation each day comes from his family and his desire to give back locally. Outside of the office, you’ll find him volunteering as a coach, spending time outdoors, or hunting — anything that allows him to stay active and connected to his community.

Derek is married and a proud father of three, balancing his professional life with the joy and energy that comes from a busy home and a strong sense of purpose.
